Polar Fleece “Sleeves”
What are Polar Fleece “Sleeves”?
“Sleeves” (or tubes) go over the clubfoot bar and the abduction bat that go between the shoes of infants and young children. The Sleeves make the bar look a little nicer and provide a soft protective covering over the bar. They are also used for older children – on bars that go between their shoes or a cast and even to provide softness on the shoulder straps of casts.
Finished sleeves are about 7 1/2” around and can be 8”, 10”, 12”, or 14” long.
Instructions:
· Cut polar fleece 8” wide by 8”, 10”, 12” or 14” long – stretch can go either way.
· Serge or zigzag across both widths.
· Fold in half, with the serge/zigzagged edges at each end.
· Serge/Zigzag the seam, making a tube.
· Turn inside out and admire your work!!
